Coca-Cola Gameplan

Coca-Cola Gameplan is an internal app used by Coca-Cola representatives to help deliver information and estimates to branches wishing to carry this brand of soft drink. The current app is only optimized in desktop, but since more of the representatives are mobile, they asked us to help adjust their brand sheets and calculator to a mobile viewport.

Information Gathering:

App Review

I began this project by gathering information on how the app is currently set up and how the users are interacting with it. They have an image they need to display and a calculator that doesn't currently look like you are able to input data.

Discussing Parameters

I had a meeting with Coca-Cola and our account manager to understand the parameters and information they could give me. I asked many questions about how this will be used, what the pain points are, and what is the development time we have to implement these changes.

1st Draft

Creation:

I kept cognizant of the fact the image will have words on it and tried to make it more mobile friendly. At this point I assumed that they would make a mobile version of the images as that would be easy to move around. I also create a calculator button since we won't be able to see both the image and calculator in the same screen at the same time. The calculator also got a little face lift to add text boxes that encourage the user to interact.

Review

After reviewing with the Coca-Cola team, I learned that they wanted to keep the new page as similar to the current one as possible. I had to incorporate the landscape oriented image on a black field in the mobile version. They had a couple other questions, but otherwise, as long as I worked with what was already there, they were happy with the product.

Final Draft

The final draft incorporated the landscape image from the original, but I did add the calculator button to the bottom of the screen to have a way to access the calculator on mobile, something they didn't previously have. The calculator stayed much the same, as the users seemed to understand what was expected of this screen. This final product was something the client was excited to implement and I was happy to help in their process.
